CHANGES TO YOUR ENVIRONMENT

The second list includes changes to your environment that may make you prone to having psychic experiences, or may be a change that happened RIGHT before you started to notice your psychic experiences:

  1. abuseYou started being treated poorly, abused, or attacked, experienced neglect like being left alone all the time or not getting enough love, attention, or food, or started experiencing great adversity like suddenly living in poverty.
  2. You experienced a separation such as a divorce, loss of a child, loss of a parent, loss of a loved one or dear friend, or started experiencing social rejection from all of your friends.
  3. You experienced the death of an immediate family member, or supportive, or parental figure.
  4. threatYou became aware of a perceived threat on your life, or saw, experienced, or caused very bad and upsetting things like a police officer killing someone in the line of duty, a solder eliminating the enemy, seeing a mass execution, being tortured, or a child seeing extreme violence at home, or gang violence.
  5. You lost your job, had a major change in jobs, suffered a personal injury or illness that affected your ability to work and take care of yourself, or someone like a husband, wife, or parent became injured or ill and you suddenly had the responsibility to care for them.
  6. preproYou experienced a sudden change in your financial state like dropping from a middle-class income to a lower-class income, poverty, or homelessness.
  7. You experienced a loss of basic needs like shelter, food, or medical care.
  8. You or a partner became pregnant or gave birth without proper medical care or support, or you or your child were put into foster care or adopted.
  9. You experienced a sudden change in the way your friends or co-workers accept you.

  15. You started experiencing other traumatic experiences like extreme medical or surgical procedures, war, slavery, or terrorism.
