I WANT TO ME MORE….“YELLOW” II

whatdoyouhearNo really, go on more walks and focus on all the things you see, hear, and smell. Take a couple of friends with you too, or try to meet new people, or both!

Outdoor yoga groups are a great idea to get involved with too. Get out and get some fresh air and sunshine.

knowledgeispowerDouble up on your critical thinking activities, people are naturally drawn to Type Yellows for adviceandwisdom

Because they are very perceptive, knowledgeable, and people-oriented, they make awesome teachers and educators; counselors too. Ever thought about tutoring? How about teaching? Consulting?

You don’t have to switch careers, just keep your eye out for opportunities to teach rather than just learn.

perfectionistIf you tend to procrastinate, nip it in the bud. Type Yellows tend to be go-getters and lean more towards perfectionism (everything has to be done perfectly and you end up in a never-ending circle of trying to get it just right) rather than procrastinatorprocrastination (nothing ever gets done). Also, watch out for becoming too analytical, critical, dogmatic, or obsessive.

This is where Type Grays and Yellows clash, and not in a good way. Some of these traits can lead to issues with addiction, so steer clear of being overindulgent (like eating too much food or drinking too much alcohol).

sharelearnLike Type Grays, Type Yellows love to learn new things often.

However, they also love to share ideas and concepts. So again, you are going to have to open up more.

While Type Yellows are a fairly enthusiastic type (positive/high-energy), over-stimulation and increased stress make downandoutSdowno, if you start feeling a little depressed or like you don’t feel like doing anything, get that enthusiasm pumping again by focusing more on the present, being grateful for what you have, and planning for the future.

thinkingabouthinkingFocusing more on the analytical and logical topics of the sciences is a must, but also, you will need to start reading more….

philosophy

It doesn’t have to be old-school philosophy like Plato, it can be more modern philosophy. Philosophy of Mind and Science is a great place to start. This will help you more with the people-orientation and a bunch of other Type Yellow stuff too.

In a nutshell:

  • helpfultipsWork on being more devoted and dedicated.
  • Work on being more confident, easy going, and playful.
  • Learn new things more often.
  • Take up teaching, counseling, or just reach out and try to help the people in your life more
  • If people start turning to you for advice, listen to understand, not just to reply, let them finish, and then give it your best shot.
  • Read more philosophy, think more about philosophical topics, and write down your own philosophical thoughts. You should be equally focused on science and philosophy.
  • freehugsGet more involved in creative problem solving then you already are. Type Yellows are very clever and usually know what to do in just about any situation.
  • You need to laugh more, so lighten up and try to be more open and fun-loving.
  • Type Yellows are warm and loving, so you’ll need to shed some of that introvert iron skin of yours.
