The Stages of Clairvoyant Interaction
Theresa M. Kelly, MsD.

by

Professor of Scientific Parapsychology, Researcher, Technical Author

Clairvoyance is the psychical influence of a hypothetical objective environment I call the universal information system, or Nature, which I assume is capable of storing, retaining, and recalling information pertaining to the past and current states of objects and events, involved in  the interim integration, processing, shifting, and retrieval of information pertaining to objects and events in real-time, and probabilistically determining the potential trajectory of future events.

In regards to intentional clairvoyant interaction techniques, several stages are assumed to exist through which Nature or an entity impresses information onto the clairvoyant. During spontaneous (non-intentional) clairvoyant interaction, these processes are assumed to run automatically by the subconscious and Nature or the entity.

However, since the processes are run subconsciously, there is no conscious directive.  To obtain a level of conscious direction, the medium and Nature, or the entity, are assumed to require achieving each step in order to perform successfully.

  1. Stage 1 of the clairvoyant interaction process involves initiation, i.e. the medium recognizes his or her need to communicate or channel (i.e. the medium is aware of their need to open communications with Nature or an entity) consciously, and therefore subconsciously.

  2. Stage 2 involves selection, i.e. the medium begins to call Nature or the specific entity. The medium will need to induce the information transfer process at this time, typically by beginning to induce a trance state or by “letting go.” Techniques vary per the limitation of the medium.

  3. Stage 3 involves induction, i.e. the medium fully induces a trance state and is typically no longer aware of their surroundings, and often no longer have control of their “self” or “will.”

    1. In the first sub-stage, if the medium remains uncomfortable (e.g. shifting posture), the medium and Nature or the entity will need to continue focusing on reducing discomfort rather than opening communication.

    2. Sub-stage 2 involves Nature or the entity defining the role of the medium (i.e. directing Nature’s or the entity’s “consciousness” solely onto the medium and Nature or the entity focusing on what he/she/it needs the medium to convey or do via automatism).

    3. Sub-stage 3 involves levels of suggestion, i.e. Nature or the entity shifts the mediums induction “focus” from a mildly suggestive form of automatism to a fully commanding form of automatism, and occasionally to the extent of xenoglossy. If this stage is skipped, the medium may sense only a proposal to convey information or a proposal to act, whereby still feeling as though they have some level of control over the “self” and their “will.”

Selection techniques include, but are not limited to: the medium sitting or lying down in a deep meditative state and “surrendering to the experience,” while touching or being within spatial proximity to a sitter (i.e. a particular person the medium is doing a “reading” for), or utilizing an electronic medium  between the medium and sitter (e.g. phone or computer; real-time programs such as chat or internet phone).
