Remote Viewing is the practice of visually seeking out impressions regarding a distant or unseen person, object, or event utilizing paranormal means, and Remote Sensing includes more than the remote visual mode, such as the auditory mode.

Both remote viewing and sensing have been related to clairvoyant cognition and telepathic cognition, but because remote viewing/sensing refers to specific controlled processes, this view is not widely accepted. Remote viewing and sensing appears to include temporal features (i.e. postcognitive, contemporaneous, and precognitive ESP).

I define remote viewing and sensing in regards to contemporaneous clairvoyance as the psychical influence of an objective environment I call the universal information system, or Nature, which I assume is involved in the interim integration, processing, shifting, and retrieval of information pertaining to remote objects and events in real-time.

This is achievable through the act of an experient requesting and receiving information pertaining to remote objects states or current events via the systems working memory or short-term information storage. I assume this system is actively monitoring and manipulating information at a constant, possibly with real-time constraints; operational deadlines between event to system response.

I assume the system captures, retains, and stores this information and can be requested by an experient of which is then conveyed intuitively and/or in the form of sensory hallucinations; primarily through the visual and auditory modalities. These hallucinations can also occur in other sensory modality including tactile, olfactory, gustatory, and somatosensory.
