OPENNESS TO EXPERIENCE<\/h2>\n

\u201cDoes it matter how creative, flexible, curious, or adventurous I am?\u201d<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"new\"The next limiting factor is your \u201copenness to experience.\u201d<\/strong> This also has a lot to do with age, but differs from person to person. Openness to experience refers to your ability to be creative, flexible, curious, and adventurous<\/u>.<\/p>\n

The younger you are the more open you tend to be to new experiences<\/u>; AND the more you tend to seek out new experiences<\/u>. Also, the younger you are the more new just about EVERYTHING<\/strong> is.<\/p>\n

However, as you get older your openness to experiences slowly \"dwind\"<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"routine\"<\/a>This is because things like school and work shift you into a world of <\/u>routines<\/u><\/strong>, structure<\/u><\/strong>, and your day-to-day life becomes fairly <\/u>predictable<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You tend to lose the rich imagination<\/strong> you once had as a child and tend to favor being like everyone else<\/u> rather than the unique<\/strong> individual you are. You were born unique. You were born capable of doing something that the rest of mankind cannot<\/u>.<\/p>\n

You and you alone are uniquely qualified to fulfill that task.<\/strong> Never stop seeing what others cannot see. Never stop hearing what others cannot hear. Never stop creating that which does not yet exist.<\/p>\n

\"mindsarelikepara\"<\/a>Also, the older you get, the more you \u201cthink\u201d<\/strong> you know, and the less you seek out new things to learn about<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Openness to experience slowly INCREASES<\/strong> until you\u2019re around age 20-22<\/u>. However, structure and routine also grow, and keep growing.<\/p>\n

So, by the time you\u2019re out of college and entering the workforce<\/u> full-time, your openness to experience is the lowest<\/strong> it\u2019s ever been and routine is usually at its highest.<\/p>\n

If your life is full of routine and is highly structured, don\u2019t worry<\/strong>, there are a lot of ways to increase <\/strong>your openness to experience no matter how old you are. These ways include taking up:<\/p>\n
