In this paper, Theresa M. Kelly, MsD., addresses Cryokinesis: the psychical influence involving the deceleration of charged particles to low speeds, typically electrons because of their light weight, via an experients own electrical fields or through the remote influence of similar fields. In addition, she addresses popular misconceptions in regards to mechanical and dynamical limitations, and psychosomatic symptoms in regards to thermoception.

She addresses limitations of influence including heat transfer vs. particle deceleration, heat conduction vs. radiation, condensation vs. frost, cooling vs. freezing, higher vs. lower temperatures, and states of matter. She touches on commonly reported symptomatic effects in regards to experients of cryokinesis including injuries [e.g. frostnip and frostbite] caused by decreased heat in the hands and feet, and spontaneous cooling and thermoregulation.

In addition, she addresses practical career applications in regards to cryokinetic phenomena. [e.g. therapeutic, rescue, scientific, and philosophical], and discuss experimental applications including indoor thermal influence, condensation, frost vs. cooling, freezing liquids, and freezing solids with suggestions on measurement techniques and devices. EXCERPT: "Psychosomatic symptoms typically misconstrued as cryokinetic phenomena include meditations involving the hands being placed, “cupped,” near each other, but are not in contact with each other, with the individual using imagery to “cool” the region between both hands. This imagery can create a false or distorted sense of perception that appears to be a real perception. In this case, the individual believes the air between their hands is being cooled, when in actuality the effect is merely a distortion of thermoception, which is briefly defined as the sense of heat and the absence of heat by the skin. [ ... ] Condensation is the change in the [aggregation] phase of matter from the gaseous phase into liquid droplets at dew point. The dew point [about 59 °F (15 °C)] is the temperature in which a given parcel of air must be cooled, at a constant barometric pressure, for water vapor to condense into these droplets. For this exercise, the experient should be encouraged to use liquid water. The experient will need to obtain a drinking glass and fill the drinking glass about half with tap or freshwater. EXCERPT: " Cryokinesis is also the psychical influence of energy flow in regard to heat absorption. In heat absorption, because of the lower temperature of the experient, heat spontaneously flows from the system, or remote source, in the direction of the experient as long as the experient is cooler than the system as per the second law of thermodynamics. When a thermal connection is made, such as radiation or conduction, the experient and system will exchange surface and internal energy until their temperatures are equalized; that is, until they reach thermodynamic equilibrium. In regard to experients of cryokinetic phenomena, phenomena appear limited to heat transfer and particle deceleration. Limitations commonly include the experient working with one form of dynamics or the other. Typically, experients in which can only reduce the temperatures of systems or objects via direct touch are occasionally limited to heat transfer.
